These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and your purchase of 50 Years On: The Marina da Gama Story, in either printed or digital (ebook) form, sold by Composition CC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use this website or purchase our products.

2. The Products

We sell the book 50 Years On: The Marina da Gama Story in two formats:

Printed edition — a physical copy, delivered by courier within South Africa, or available for local pickup
Digital edition (ebook) — delivered instantly as a download, available to customers worldwide

Product descriptions, pricing, and availability are displayed on the website and may be updated from time to time without prior notice.

3. Orders and Payment

All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include or exclude VAT as indicated at checkout
Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider, PayFast. We do not collect or store your card or banking details
An order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order (for example, in the case of a pricing error or suspected fraud), in which case any payment made will be refunded

4. Delivery

Printed books are shipped within South Africa only, via courier, or may be collected locally by arrangement. See our Shipping Policy for full details
International customers cannot currently receive printed copies due to shipping costs disproportionate to the item’s value; we recommend the ebook edition instead
Ebooks are delivered instantly via digital download upon successful payment

5. Refunds and Returns

Refunds and returns are handled in accordance with our separate Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property and Use of the Ebook

50 Years On: The Marina da Gama Story, its text, cover art, and associated content are protected by copyright and remain the intellectual property of the author/Composition CC.

When you purchase the ebook edition, you are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to read the book for your own private use. You may not:

Copy, reproduce, or redistribute the ebook file, in whole or in part
Resell, rent, lend, or share the ebook file with others
Upload the ebook to any file-sharing platform or public repository

This licence does not transfer ownership of the copyright or content to you.

7. Website Content

All content on this website, including text, images, and design, is owned by or licensed to Composition CC and may not be copied or reused without our permission, other than for your own personal, non-commercial reference.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Composition CC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or purchase of our products. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under South African consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
